Shelby Rand

About

Shelby started dancing at the age of 4 in a Movement to Music class. Since then, she has taken classes in Jazz, Tap, Rap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Modern Ballet, Funk and Latin Hip Hop. Over the years Shelby has won numerous encouragement awards, the Helen Tiddy Award, Best Junior Private Exam and Best Senior Exam. She has participated in eisteddfods since an early age placing in multiple solos, duos, trios, and groups in a variety of styles.

Shelby has been in many local and school musicals as an ensemble member, featured dancer and main character. She has also been a choreographer in these musicals. Shelby has travelled to Sydney to participate in the Brent Street Spring Camp workshops.

Growing up, Shelby always admired her dance teachers and she always dreamed of becoming one herself. She was thrilled when she began teaching Movement to Music and Jazz at just 15 years of age. Shelby is passionate about seeing her students succeed and creating a happy and healthy learning environment for them to dance in.
